PIPELINE TRANSPORT

A strategic link of the hydrocarbon chain

THE TRC NETWORK SERVING ENERGY SECURITY

The Activity Pipeline transport (TRC) as a regulating link in the hydrocarbon chain, is entrusted with the development, management and exploitation of the transport network and port installations.

It ensures the transport of liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons produced by the Activity E&P towards the different national and foreign clients under optimal conditions of cost, quality and safety.

The role of the Pipeline Transport Activity is to optimize the services provided to the other Activities and partners, upstream and downstream the value chain of the Group by developing the transport network by making its operation more reliable and secure.

The Pipeline Transport network has become considerably dense over the years across the national territory/ Today, it covers nearly 22 000 Km of which 53% are dedicated to the transport of natural gas.

The Pipeline network is consists mainly of

43
Pipelines

distributed in 22 systems of pipeline transport

85
pumping stations

and compression stations installed along the network

128
hydrocarbon storage

tanks with a usable capacity of 3.25 Million TOE.

03
petroleum ports

ports  in Arzew, Skikda, and Béjaïa with a loading capacity of 1.3 million tons.

05
bouées de chargement

The petroleum ports are equipped with 05 offshore loading buoys.

The TRC transport network is subdivided in two complementary parts:

The South Network

The South Network which starts from the deposits and transports the effluents to the Liquid Hydrocarbon Dispatching Center of Haoud El Hamra (CDHL) for crude oil and condensate and to the National Center of Gas Dispatching located in Hassi RMel ( CNDG) for natural gas.

The North network:

-Crude oil from CDHL to the refineries and ports of export.

-Condensate from CDHL and deposit of Hassi R’Mel to the Skikda refinery and export ports.

-LPG from Hassi R’Mel to the separation complexes.

The installed capacity of gas transport of the country’s North network has been lifted to nearly 138 billion cubic meters per year, of which 43 billion m3/year via GEM and MEDGAZ gas pipelines dedicated to supply directly Europe

An investment policy oriented towards the gas transport

The Group plans to allocate significant investments for the gas transport on the mid-term due to a strong growing demand.

As part of its investment plan for the mid-term 2024-202, the Pipeline Transport Activity considers focusing its efforts in order to pursue its rehabilitation programs of the transport network with a view to ensuring security of the evacuation of the production and protection of the environment.
