SONATRACH is resolutely committed to set up the necessary tools for the development and promotion of a governance based on ethics which enable the reinforcement of its position and its protection against any prejudicial action to its credibility and brand image.

M. Zobair HAMANI
President of the Ethics Committee :
Holder of a State Engineering degree in the field of environment and holder of a postgraduate diploma in environmental management systems from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), 24 years of experience in the field of HSE, within SONATRACH, including 06 years in the TRC Activity and 18 years in senior management positions within SONATRACH.

M. Makhlouf YALA
Secretary of the Ethics Committee :
Holder of a DES in management economics, a degree in French literature at Bouzareah University, Algiers and an Executive MBA with the MDI-business School / University of LILLE/France, 32 years of professional experience including 17 years at SONATRACH/COM Activity,04 years at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and 11 years at the GSK/Algeria company level. 23 years of senior management positions at GSK where he held the position of Director of Human Resources for 11 years and SONATRACH where we held the positions of Head of Department of General Resources and Procurement , then Director of General Resources for 2 years.

M. Hamid CHEMIL
Member of the Ethics Committee :
Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Sciences and completed postgraduate studies in Money and Finance. He is also certified in Statutory Auditing (CAC), an Expert Accountant finalist, and holds a diploma in Internal Auditing. With more than 33 years of professional experience, he began his career in 1993 as a Research Officer at EDIL Spa. He joined Sonatrach in 1996, where he held several key positions.Throughout his career, he served as Senior Financial Executive at DP/Headquarters and AST/Headquarters and later at the Group Audit Directorate as a Senior Auditor. He also held the positions of Analysis and Reporting Executive, Audit Follow-up Coordinator, and Director of Joint Venture Audit.

M. Bahia FETTAL
Member of the Ethics Committee :
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law obtained in 1987 from the Faculty of Law of Algiers and completed postgraduate studies leading to a Magister degree in 1989.She began her professional career in public administration before moving into the fields of communication and journalism.At Sonatrach, she held several senior management positions, building extensive expertise over the years. She later joined the Ethics Committee as a member, bringing more than 31 years of professional experience, including 22 years within Sonatrach.ain.

Mme Yakout AKROUNE
independent member :
Independent member: holder of a State Doctorate in Law, university lecturer, since 1976 to date. Teacher at the Higher School of Magistracy since 2000 to date. Currently teaching business law at the Algiers Business School. Expertise in public procurement law, business law, land and real estate law. Expert at the World Bank

Dr. Abdenour KERMAD
independent member :
A doctor in medicine. He has been on medical activities (Occupational medicine and care) from 1989 to 1994 at In Amenas SONATRACH Region, then in Algiers up to 2007. He was appointed at the head of Health service from 2007 to 2009, then at the head of Algiers Region of Social Affairs from 2009 to 2012. As a Senior Officer, he represented the Social Affairs Director at the Hygiene and Security Higher Commission from 2012 to 2016, then as a permanent member until December 2025. He was appointed as Health Deputy-Director from 2016 to 2021 and Head of Algiers Region of Social Affairs from 2009 to 2012.

SONATRACH provides its employees and stakeholders with an alert system in order to report through dedicated and secure channels , any practice or behavior contrary to the values of ethics as defined in SONTRACH Code of Ethics.
This system guarantees the confidentiality of the collected information and provides for a protection of bonna fide whistleblowers against any form of reprisals.
