The General Assembly of the SONATRACH Group approved today, during its extraordinary session, the project to create a new subsidiary dedicated to the management and operation of the Martyr Ali Ammar Stadium, known as Ali La Pointe, located in Douera, in the capital.
This decision is part of the public authorities’ directives aimed at establishing an independent economic entity responsible for the administration of this major sports infrastructure for the benefit of the MC Alger football club, in accordance with the decision of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE.
This new subsidiary will be named SOGISL – Société de Gestion et d’Exploitation des Infrastructures Sportives et de Loisirs, and will be entirely owned by the holding company SONATRACH Activités Extérieures et Support (H. SAES), a subsidiary of the SONATRACH Group.
The company SOGIS will be responsible of ensuring rigorous management of the stadium, overseeing its maintenance and sustainability, optimizing and utilizing its facilities to take advantage of their considerable potential, while providing quality services befitting this exceptional sports complex. Through this initiative, SONATRACH reaffirms, as a responsible corporate citizen, its everlasting commitment to supporting and developing national sports, as well as promoting sports infrastructures. This approach embodies its vision of balancing social responsibility with its economic role in serving national development.
