| Algiers, June 19, 2025 The SONATRACH External and Support Activities Holding Company announced today the signing of an agreement with the national airline Air Algérie regarding the transfer of ownership of Tassili Airlines to Air Algérie. This agreement represents a significant strategic milestone in the transformation process of Tassili Airlines through its integration into the national air transport system. It aims to strengthen domestic air travel and enhance connectivity across the country’s regions. The contractual framework is based on clear legal and regulatory foundations, ensuring an orderly transfer of ownership while preserving operational continuity. It reflects both parties’ commitment to the principles of good governance and institutional integration within Algeria’s aviation sector. Through its holding subsidiary, SONATRACH reaffirms its full commitment to the success of this strategic transformation, aiming to enhance institutional performance and fostering greater synergy among the country’s key national sectors. It is worth noting that the signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Saïd SAYOUD, Minister of Transport; Mr. Abdelkader ZERROUKI, Secretary General of the SONATRACH Group; Mr. Hamza BEN HAMMOUDA, CEO of Air Algérie; and Mr. TERA Mohamed, CEO of the SONATRACH External and Support Activities Holding Company (SAES). |
