SONATRACH and the Chinese company SINOPEC signed, today, a Memorandum of Understanding in order to consider the cooperation prospects in the areas of common interest, such as the projects relating to conventional and unconventional hydrocarbons, the development of complex reservoirs as well as petrochemicals and helium. It also encompasses oil engineering, renewable energies and new related technologies and also skills development.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed during a ceremony which was organized on the sidelines of a visit to China conducted by the Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of SONATRACH, Mr. Nour Eddine DAOUDI, accompanied by a high-level delegation.
This Memorandum is the outcome of the works and actions undertaken under the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2024 between SONATRACH and SINOPEC which permitted to determine prospects of mutual interest and implement real actions.
It aims at consolidating the existing relations between the two companies and expanding their cooperation by seeking new opportunities for partnership throughout the whole hydrocarbon value chain.
