SONATRACH SIGNS SEVERAL CONTRACTS WITH ALGERIAN COMPANIES

Within the framework of its policy of promoting local content and national integration, SONATRACH signed, today, three (03) contracts with national companies with a view to rehabilitate and expand the transport network.

The signing ceremony took place at the Headquarters and was chaired by Mr. Rachid HACHICHI, Chairman & CEO of SONATRACH Group, in the presence of the Group’s Senior Executives.

The first 30 months contract was signed between with ENAC-Cosider Canalisations Consortium for the construction in EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) and the expansion of the Gas pipeline GG1 42’’ section, located between Hassi R’Mel, Moudjebara Compression Station-wilaya of Djelfa and Medjedel Shut-off Station-Wilaya of Msila.

This structuring project aims at securing natural gas supply to the central region of the country. It also aims at bringing into compliance and securing Moudjebara Compression Station.

The second agreement, a 30 months contract, was signed with GCB/ SARPI Consortium, SONATRACH ‘s Subsidiaries. It is an EPC contract relating to the replacement of the section of the OH1 30’’ oil pipeline, located between Ohanet and Mederba, Wilaya of Illizi, with a Glass Reinforced Epoxy pipe.

The achievement of this project will ensure a reliable operation of this oil pipeline for the transport of crude oil from the fields located in the In Amenas region towards the Liquid Hydrocarbon Distribution Center (CDHL) situated in Haoud El Hamra, Wilaya of Ouargla.

As part of this same project, a third 15 months contract was signed with the Algerian company Maghreb Pipe Industries MPI, relating to the manufacture and supply of 163km of Glass Reinforced Epoxy pipes.

It should be noted that the overall amount of these three (03) contracts reaches nearly 60 billion DA and will allow the direct or indirect creation of employment positions locally.

The signing of these contracts asserts SONATRACH‘s willingness and commitment to promote the local content in developing its activities.
