The Chief Executive Officer of the SONATRACH Group, Mr. Rachid HACHICHI, today received at the headquarters of the company’s general management the Secretary General of the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries, Mr. Mohamed HAMEL.
This meeting was dedicated to examining ways to strengthen cooperation between the two parties and to expand partnership prospects, in line with the current challenges facing the energy sector at both regional and international levels.
The discussions also focused on the future prospects of natural gas in the global energy mix, highlighting its strategic role in achieving sustainable development and supporting the energy transition, as a key solution towards a cleaner and more efficient energy future.
This meeting reflects SONATRACH’s commitment to continuing its efforts to consolidate Algeria’s position as a reliable partner and central player in the global gas industry, through active participation in regional and international initiatives.
