During a ceremony organized today, at SONATRACH’s Headquarters and supervised by Mr. Rachid HACHICHI, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of SONATRACH Group, a contract for the industrialization of a research patent was signed between the Central Direction of Research & Development of SONATRACH and the National Company of Well Services (ENSP), a subsidiary of SONATRACH.
This contract allows ENSP to industrialize an automatic intelligent device designed by SONATRACH’s R&D Central Direction and patented by the Algerian National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI). It includes also the installation of this new technology at the production sites of SONATRACH. 500 producing wells located in Hassi Messaoud and Hassi R’Mel will be equipped with this technology.
This electronic automatic intelligent device controlled by an intelligent digital interface allows an automatic adjustment of the gas injection instructions (flow rate) into the hydrocarbon reservoirs in order to maintain pressure and increase wells’ production. In addition, this automatic intelligent device presents higher features compared to the similar imported products, such as remote control and defrosting.
Thus, this contract marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration for the valorization of the research results developed by SONATRACH through its subsidiaries and demonstrates the importance of synergies between research and industries.
