The Chairman and CEO of the SONATRACH Group, Mr. Rachid HACHICHI, presided today over the launch of a workshop dedicated to the international expansion and export of the activities of the SONATRACH Group subsidiaries.

This event, organized by the holding company SONATRACH Petroleum Services, was held at the Algerian Petroleum Institute (IAP) in Boumerdès, in the presence of senior SONATRACH executives as well as the CEOs of the Group’s holding companies and subsidiaries. During the two-day workshop, participants will discuss and analyze the prospects for opening SONATRACH subsidiaries operating in the petroleum services sector to international markets. They will also examine ways and means to realize opportunities for expanding their scope of activities and exporting their services beyond national borders.

On this occasion, Mr. Rachid HACHICHI delivered a speech in which he emphasized that the internationalization of the activities of the SONATRACH Group’s subsidiaries is fully in line with SONATRACH’s overall strategy: “The Group’ss strategy is clear in this area. It aims to explore new markets to ensure sustainable growth. It is therefore essential today to identify new opportunities and explore new horizons, through our African continent, rich in potential and concrete prospects, and by expanding into other promising markets in the medium and long terms.”

He also emphasized that this international outreach is a strategic necessity to ensure the Group’s sustainability, strengthen its competitiveness, and support its long-term growth.

This workshop reflects SONATRACH’s firm commitment to access international markets and promote the expansion and export of its subsidiaries’activities, drawing on the Group’s expertise and know-how across the entire hydrocarbon value chain.

SONATRACH also benefits from strong internal partnerships, which give it the flexibility needed to adapt to the rapid changes in the global energy landscape.

According to Mr. HACHICHI, this dynamic marks “a promising impetus for building a sustainable and prosperous future for SONATRACH and all its partners.”
