SONATRACH and the Omani company NAFUN International L.L.C signed, yesterday May19th, 2026, a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at exploring opportunities for cooperation in the field of oil and gas services, on the basis of mutual and balanced benefits.
The MoU was signed during a ceremony organised on the sidelines of the “Oman Petroleum & Energy Show (OPES 2026)”, held from May 18 to 20, 2026 in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, in the presence of Mr. Nour Eddine DAOUDI, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SONATRACH.
This Memorandum of Understanding provides a framework aimed at assessing the feasibility of two pilot projects at SONATRACH sites: «Jetsweep service» designed to remove sand from constrained wells with sand or deposits, as well as ‘’Conductor Hammering Service’’ to evaluate its suitability for use in drilling and well construction operations.
NAFUN International L.L.C is a held company specializing in oilfield services to the upstream oil and gas sector, with core expertise in well sand clean-out operations and conductor pipe hammering.
This Memorandum of Understanding represents a new step in strengthening cooperation between SONATRACH and NAFUN in the field of oil and gas services.
