SONATRACH and the Omani company Petrogas Exploration & Production LLC signed, yesterday May19th, 2026, a Memorandum of Understanding aiming at identifying opportunities for cooperation in the field of exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons in Algeria.
The MoU was signed during a ceremony organised on the sidelines of the “Oman Petroleum & Energy Show (OPES 2026)”, held from May 18 to 20, 2026 in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, in the presence of Mr. Nour Eddine DAOUDI, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SONATRACH.
Petrogas is an exploration and exploitation company, member of the Mohamed Al Barwani Group. It conducts production operations in Oman, Egypt, The Netherlands, United Kingdom and Denmark.
This step constitutes an important development in cooperation path between both compagnies and reflects their common will to strengthening collaboration in the oil and gas sector.
