An honorary ceremony was organized today in honor of the Mouloudia Club d’Alger (MCA) team, sponsored by the SONATRACH Group, following its well-deserved victory in the Professional League 1 football championship for the 2024–2025 sporting season, after its victory against Nadjm Magra in the final match held at the July 5, 1962 Stadium in Algiers, on June 21, 2025.
The ceremony, held at the MCA headquarters in Zéralda, was attended by the CEO of SONATRACH, Mr. Rachid HACHICHI, the President of the Professional League, the Secretary General of the Algerian Football Federation, players, the technical and medical staff, members of the club’s board of directors, as well as executives and officials from the SONATRACH Group.
At the opening, Mr. HACHICHI and the participants observed a minute of silence in memory of the six deceased supporters during this sports season, including four following the tragic accident that occurred at the 5 July Stadium at the end of the MCA–NCM Magra match, he expressed his deep solidarity with the injured, affirming SONATRACH’s support for the fans and their families during this painful ordeal, praying that the victims may rest in peace.
During this ceremony, Mr. HACHICHI warmly congratulated the players as well as all the administrative, technical, and medical teams, acknowledging the considerable efforts made throughout the season, crowned by this prestigious title. The championship trophy, whose presentation had been postponed due to respect for the victims, was officially awarded in an atmosphere filled with pride and responsibility.
This victory, achieved for the second consecutive year, marks an important milestone in the club’s history, illustrating a new era of performance and sporting prominence. It is the result of coordinated work between the club management, the technical staff, and the players, consistently supported by SONATRACH, the official sponsor of MCA.
