An incident occurred today at 02:30 a.m. at the Refinery of Arzew located in the industrial zone of Arzew, in the Wiaya of Oran, specifically in the 5L 3900 finished oils divisional packaging unit.

The situation was fully contained at 04:40 a.m. No injuries or casualties were reported and thus, thanks to the activation of the Mutual Assistance Plan, the resources deployed by the Tactical Command Post, and the support provided by the Civil Protection services.

SONATRACH took all the necessary measures to determine the causes of the incident.

SONATRACH inform its partners and customers that the production of fuels and lubricants has not been affected and that the supply of the domestic market, from Arzew Refinery, remains uninterrupted.
